Thing of the Month (Harry Potter)

Hey guys and gals, so this month's (more like decade's) thing is Harry Potter! If you don't know what Harry Potter is, you should be ashamed. But I'm pretty sure basically everyone knows what it is. But I'll tell you just in case you don't have a life. Harry Potter is a series of fantasy novels written by the English author J.K Rowling. It is about Harry Potter, a young wizard and orphan. And his many adventures with his bestfriends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. They all go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which Albus Dumbledore is the headmaster of. When Harry was a baby his parents were murdered by the evil Lord Voldemort (who must not be named.) Voldemort tried to kill Harry aswell, but failed. So now he still wants to kill Harry, in order to prove that he is stronger than him.

The last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is in two parts in the movies of Harry Potter. The first part was only released last thursday 18/11/10. I watched it yesterday, and it was extraordinary. If you haven't already seen it, you must.

Here's the trailer:

Celebrity style

What up people?

Okay, so everyone has a celebrity or model they get inspired by in fashion right? Someone to look up to in fashion, to try and dress like them and get fashion ideas from. So I know hardly anyone comments on blogs but if you could or just facebook me or something, who your fashion icon is?

Mine would have to be Shenae Grimes, Clemence Poesy and of course Rachel Bilson and Alexa Chung which you probably have noticed from all my previous blog posts.

John Green

Hey dudes and dudettes! I think you should know that its my birthday in a week :) How exciting, I'm turning 14. And soon I'd be able to get a job, finally. Ok so this blog post is about John Green, you may or not of heard of him. His an American author who writes young adult fiction books and a youtube vlogger. Some of his most famous books are Paper Towns, Looking For Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines. His first book he had written was Looking For Alaska which was inspired by his time at Indian Springs School. On April 30 2009, Paper Towns was awarded the 2009 Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Novel. John Green also collaborated on a book with young adult authors Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle called Let It Snow. The book reached number 10 on the New York Times bestseller list for paperback children's books. I have read Looking For Alaska and Paper Towns. Their both amazing books and are probably one of my favourties. I think Looking For Alaska is slightly better though, I absolutely think you should check his books out.

I went shopping the other day and all the popular regular stores you find everywhere have copied the whole indie-vintage look. They are selling the style everywhere now. Like Cotton On, Dotti, Supre, Sportsgirl, Valleygirl, Bardot, Jay Jays and more. I love these cute and unique styles and clothing items. Here are some 'stuff'.
