Thing of the Week (Falls Music Festival)

The Falls Festival is a New Year's Eve music festival which goes for 3 days held annually in Lorne, Victoria and Marion Bay, Tasmania Australia since 1993. In 2008, the Falls Festival won the FasterLouder Festival Award for 'Best Lineup'. Lorne and Marion Bay both have nearby beaches. Many artists playing at the Falls Festival are traditionally of the blues & roots genre, but also genres like rock, hip hop and electronic are playing.

They have had some of the most famous bands in the line-up like Iggy Pop, Powderfinger, Blondie, Grinspoon, Black Eyed Peas, Hilltop Hoods, Franz ferdinand, Kings of Leon, The Kooks and many many more.
